Wet and Wild Week has already brought plenty of splashes, laughs, crafts, games, and summer memories to Sea Pirate Campground, and the biggest weekend events are still ahead.
As of Friday evening, August 21, 2026, campers have already enjoyed four full days of water-themed fun, creative activities, pool games, a movie night, and plenty of time outside with family and friends.
But we are not done yet.
The weekend continues with two of the biggest events of Wet and Wild Week:
- Sea Pirate’s annual Wet and Wild Hayride
- Rolling J’s Reggae Band live on the pool deck
There is also live music, an educational beer tasting, Sudsy Sunday, crafts, pool games, Bingo, Kiwi, and much more still to come.
Here is a look at what has happened so far and what families can still look forward to this weekend.
What Happened Earlier This Week?
Wet and Wild Week began Monday with a full schedule designed around one simple goal:
Have fun and do not be afraid to get wet.
Monday, August 17
Monday started with Jumping Pillow fun before campers headed into the Treasure Room for Candy Bar Bingo.
The afternoon brought some friendly outdoor competition with:
- Splash a Camper
- Tug of War
- Another Jumping Pillow session
- Evening ceramics in the Treasure Room
It was a classic Sea Pirate summer day: kids playing outside, families spending time together, and plenty of opportunities to make something or try something new.
Tuesday Brought Water Balloons, Gaga Ball, and a Flashlight Hunt
Tuesday, August 18
Tuesday continued the Wet and Wild theme with another packed day.
Campers enjoyed:
- Jumping Pillow
- Message in a Bottle craft
- Water Balloon Toss
- Gaga Ball
- Superhero Door Hangers
- Lollipop Flashlight Hunt
The nighttime flashlight hunt was the kind of simple activity that kids tend to remember.
A flashlight.
A bag.
Friends running across the field after dark.
Sometimes those little moments are the ones that become the best summer memories.
Wednesday Featured the Dunk Tank and a Movie Under the Evening Sky
Wednesday, August 19
Wednesday started with the Jumping Pillow and ceramics before things got wetter in the afternoon.
Campers took their chances at the Dunk Tank, searched for gems by the pool, and then settled in for one of Sea Pirate Campground’s most relaxing summer traditions:
Movie on the Pool Deck
Campers brought snacks, friends, and blankets to the pool deck for a showing of “Yes Day.”
There is something special about watching a movie outside at the campground.
The day starts to cool down.
The sky gets darker.
Kids settle in with friends.
Parents finally get a chance to sit.
And a regular Wednesday night suddenly becomes one of those “remember when…” moments.
Thursday Mixed Crafts, Water Games, Tie Dye, and Camping Skills
Thursday, August 20
Thursday included:
- Jumping Pillow
- Color Your Own Fuzzy Fish Magnet
- Cup of Chance
- Indoor Tie Dye
- Learn a Camping Survival Skill
This week’s camping skill focused on knots, giving campers a chance to learn something useful while still having fun.
What Happened Friday, August 21?

Winners received coupons for Queen Ann’s Galley or the Treasure Room.
Duck Chase

This one brought the adventure to the pond.
Participants were given canoes, life jackets, and paddles and raced to retrieve decoys from the water.
Waterslide Race
3:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Campers raced to see who could make it down the waterslide the fastest.
Floral Bookmarks

What Is Still Happening Friday Night?
The day is not over yet.
Jumping Pillow

Kids have one more chance to jump, play, and spend time with campground friends.
Wristbands must be worn and will be checked.
Hayride and Meet Kiwi
8:20 PM – 9:00 PM
Friday night ends with one of Sea Pirate Campground’s favorite traditions.
Head over to the office to see Kiwi before hopping on the hayride.
The hayride starts at 8:30 PM, and Kiwi will leave at that time.
For kids, these moments matter.
It may only be a hayride to an adult.
To a child, it can become:
“Remember when we met Kiwi before the hayride?”
That is how campground memories are made.
Saturday, August 22: Wet and Wild Hayride & Reggae Night
Saturday is the biggest day of the weekend.
From ceramics in the morning to the Wet and Wild Hayride at noon and Rolling J’s Reggae Band at night, there is something happening throughout the day.
Main Event: Wet and Wild Hayride
Wet and Wild Hayride
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Head to the front of the office and get ready for one of the wettest Sea Pirate traditions of the summer.
Bring your water weapon of choice and hop aboard the annual Wet and Wild Hayride.
This is not the hayride where you are trying to stay dry.
That would be missing the point.
Bring the water blasters.
Bring the laughs.
Bring the family.
And prepare to get soaked.
For kids, this has all the ingredients of a perfect summer memory: water, friends, parents getting involved, and permission to be completely ridiculous for an hour.
Saturday Morning Ceramics
Ceramics
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Meet in the Treasure Room to paint.
Ceramics range from $1–$15, depending on the piece selected.
Acrylic paint is used and can stain clothes.
Saturday Afternoon Live Music
Live Music on the Pool Deck
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Head to the pool deck and enjoy live music during the afternoon.
There are few better ways to spend an August afternoon than music, pool time, friends, and family.

2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Head to the pool and bring your friends for another Wet and Wild Week game.
Four Square
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Meet by the pool to play.
Educational Beer Tasting with Oyster Creek Brewery

Adults can take part in an educational beer tasting provided by Oyster Creek Brewery.
Participants must be 21 or older and must sign up in the office beforehand.
Jumping Pillow

Main Event: Rolling J’s Reggae Band
7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday night finishes with Rolling J’s Reggae Band on the pool deck.
Come out, relax, listen to reggae, and enjoy a summer night with friends and family.
Music by the pool.
Warm August air.
Kids nearby.
Friends talking.
Families spending an evening together.
Those are the moments that never feel important while they are happening.
Until years later, when they are exactly the moments everyone remembers.

Why Wet and Wild Week Becomes a Family Memory
Kids usually do not remember vacations the same way adults do.
They do not remember whether everything went according to plan.
They do not remember what time everyone left home.
They probably will not remember how much was packed into the car.
They remember getting soaked on the hayride.
They remember laughing when Dad got hit with a water blaster.
They remember racing down the waterslide.
They remember Kiwi.
They remember staying outside after dark.
They remember music by the pool.
They remember the kid they met on Friday who somehow felt like their best friend by Sunday.
Those are the little moments that become the big memories.
And that is what weeks like Wet and Wild Week at Sea Pirate Campground are really about.
