Closing Weekend 2026 at Sea Pirate Campground: One Last Weekend, a Lifetime of Memories

October 23–25, 2026 | West Creek, New Jersey

Every camping season begins with excitement.

The first camper pulling into the campground. The first family unloading their car. Kids racing to find their friends. Parents settling into their favorite campsites. The first splash in the pool and the familiar sound of laughter drifting through Sea Pirate Campground.

Back in April, the entire summer was still ahead of us.

There were vacations to take, friendships to make, songs to sing, celebrations to enjoy, and memories waiting to happen.

And somehow, just like that, here we are.

Closing Weekend has arrived at Sea Pirate Campground.

From Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25, 2026, we’re celebrating one last weekend together before bringing another wonderful camping season to a close.

But before we say goodbye to 2026, we want to look back at everything that made this season special.

Because at Sea Pirate Campground, camping has never been just about where you stay.

It’s about who you’re with, the memories you make, and the stories you’ll tell for years to come.

What Made the 2026 Camping Season So Special?

If we could describe the 2026 season in one word, it would be togetherness.

We watched families reconnect, kids make new friends, longtime campers return to their favorite places, and first-time visitors discover why Sea Pirate Campground has become a family tradition for generations.

Some days were full of scheduled activities. Others were about the simplest pleasures sitting outside your camper with coffee, walking around the campground, enjoying a beautiful afternoon by the pool, or taking an evening golf cart ride with friends.

And then there were the special events.

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights that helped make 2026 a season to remember:

  • Opening Weekend: The excitement of welcoming campers back for another season in April.
  • Memorial Day Weekend: Families gathered to celebrate the beginning of the summer camping season.
  • Classic & Antique Car Show Weekend: Beautiful vehicles, shared interests, and a celebration of automotive history.
  • Craft Beer Bash & Chili Cook-Off: Good food, local craft beer, friendly competition, and community spirit.
  • Pirate Weekend: A chance to embrace the Sea Pirate spirit with themed family fun.
  • Father’s Day Weekend: Celebrating dads, grandfathers, and the memories families make together.
  • Celebrate America Week: Red, white, and blue activities, holiday traditions, and summer celebrations.
  • Beach Party Week: Poolside fun, music, games, and those wonderful Jersey Shore summer vibes.
  • Kiwi’s Color Run for a Cause: Bringing people together to support David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.
  • Wet & Wild Week: Water games, splashes, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to get soaked.
  • Sports Week: Friendly competition, Field Day, Dodgeball, and Dueling Pianos.
  • Labor Day Weekend: Decorated golf carts, live music from Event Horizon, and the Red, White, and Blue Party.
  • Pet Weekend: The Best Dressed Pet Contest, pet parade, and the unforgettable Pet Swim.
  • Halloween Weekends: Pumpkins, costumes, trick-or-treating, decorated campsites, and Sea Pirate’s Haunted Trail.
  • Campers vs. Staff Weekend: A little friendly rivalry and a lot of campground fun.

And now, one final celebration.

Closing Weekend 2026.

Every event brought something different to the campground. But they all had one thing in common: people enjoying time together.

From Opening Day to Summer Nights: The Little Moments That Made 2026

Some of our favorite memories weren’t necessarily the biggest events.

They were the moments in between.

The little one who finally found the courage to go down the pool slide.

The friends who met at the Jumping Pillow and became inseparable for the rest of the weekend.

The parent cheering a little too loudly during Bingo.

The kid proudly carrying a freshly painted ceramic creation back to the campsite.

The family that took the same photo with Kiwi they take every year.

The grandparents watching their grandchildren experience the same campground traditions their own children once enjoyed.

There is something special about a place where one generation’s favorite summer memory can become the next generation’s favorite summer tradition.

That’s what makes Sea Pirate Campground feel like more than a vacation destination.

For so many families, it’s part of growing up.

The Soundtrack of Summer 2026

Every great summer deserves a soundtrack, and 2026 certainly had one.

Our Sea Pirate Campground 2026 Summer Vibes Playlist helped set the mood for another season of sunshine, swimming, weekend celebrations, and time spent with friends.

There was live music around the pool deck, weekend entertainment, the Event Horizon Band, the Big Daddy Duo, Dueling Pianos, and other performances that made our summer and fall gatherings memorable.

But some of the best sounds of summer weren’t coming from the speakers.

They were the sounds of kids laughing in the pool.

Golf carts rolling by.

Friends calling each other over to the campsite.

Families cheering during games.

And those conversations that seem to continue long after the sun goes down.

Someday, a familiar song will come on the radio, and someone will smile and say:

“Remember when they played this at Sea Pirate?”

That’s how memories work.

They have a way of finding us when we least expect them.

Kiwi’s Color Run: When Our Camping Community Came Together

One of the meaningful highlights of 2026 was Kiwi’s Color Run for a Cause, held in support of David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.

Families, friends, runners, walkers, volunteers, and supporters came together for a colorful event that was about much more than reaching the finish line.

It was about helping people facing difficult challenges, supporting families affected by cancer, and showing what a community can accomplish when people come together for a common purpose.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, encouraged the runners, and helped make the event part of our 2026 season.

It reminds us that the Sea Pirate community doesn’t stop at the campground entrance.

The friendships and connections made here can make a difference well beyond our gates.

The Summer We Spent Together at the Pool

For so many campers, the pool is at the center of their favorite summer memories.

It’s where kids meet.

It’s where families cool off after a hot afternoon.

It’s where games become competitions, friends become teammates, and summer afternoons somehow disappear before anyone is ready to leave.

Throughout 2026, the pool and surrounding areas hosted games, live music, contests, and special events.

During Pet Weekend, even the dogs got their chance to make a splash.

And on those warm summer evenings, the pool deck became a gathering place where campers could listen to music, spend time with friends, and enjoy being part of the Sea Pirate family.

Sometimes all it takes to create a lasting memory is a sunny afternoon, a swimming pool, and the people you love.

Fall Camping Reminded Us That Summer Doesn’t Have the Final Word

We spent much of September and October reminding everyone of something we believe:

Camping season is only over when we say it is over!

Labor Day didn’t mark the end of the fun.

Our fall calendar brought families back for Pet Weekend, Halloween celebrations, the Haunted Trail, costume contests, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, hayrides, and Campers vs. Staff Weekend.

There is a different kind of magic to camping in the fall.

Cooler evenings.

Sweatshirts instead of swimsuits.

Decorated campsites.

Pumpkins sitting outside cabin doors.

Families walking together with trick-or-treat bags.

And the campground glowing with lights as everyone enjoys one more evening outside.

Fall reminded us that making memories isn’t limited to summer.

And now it’s time for one last weekend.

To Every Family Who Spent Part of 2026 With Us: Thank You

There are a lot of people who make Sea Pirate Campground what it is.

Our seasonal campers, who return year after year and make the campground feel like a neighborhood.

Our weekend visitors, who arrive ready to make every moment count.

Our first-time campers, who give us the opportunity to become part of their family’s story.

Our grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren, who remind us that camping traditions can connect generations.

Our friends, volunteers, entertainers, community partners, and everyone who helps bring our activities and events to life.

And of course, our Sea Pirate team.

From the office and maintenance crews to the Activities staff and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for the work, energy, and care that go into making each season possible.

We know the season is made up of thousands of little moments that most people never see.

Preparing for events.

Cleaning up after activities.

Getting the grounds ready.

Helping guests.

Answering questions.

Making sure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy their stay.

All those efforts help create the memories our families take home.

To everyone who camped with us in 2026: thank you for letting us be part of your lives.

The Kids Won’t Stay Little Forever

There’s something about Closing Weekend that makes us think about how quickly time passes.

The children who needed help climbing onto the hayride a few seasons ago are now running around with their friends.

The little campers who once held their parents’ hands everywhere are starting to find their own adventures.

And the parents who remember bringing their children to Sea Pirate for the first time are beginning to realize how fast those summers are adding up.

One day, the kids won’t ask to go to the Jumping Pillow anymore.

They’ll be older.

Their schedules will be different.

They’ll have jobs, responsibilities, and families of their own.

But then something wonderful happens.

They start remembering.

“Remember when we used to go camping?”

“Remember that summer we made friends at the pool?”

“Remember the hayrides with Kiwi?”

“Remember the Halloween weekends?”

“Remember when we all stayed up late talking outside the camper?”

And maybe, someday, they’ll bring their own children back to Sea Pirate Campground.

Not because they remember every activity.

Not because every vacation was perfect.

But because they remember how it felt.

They remember being together.

That’s the beautiful thing about family memories.

The moments may pass, but the feeling stays.

2026 Camping Season: The Memories We’ll Carry With Us

When we look back on 2026, we won’t just remember the dates on the calendar.

We’ll remember the families who celebrated birthdays and holidays together.

The children who made new friends.

The parents who finally got a chance to relax.

The grandparents who watched another generation fall in love with camping.

The golf cart parades, the costumes, the color run, the concerts, the pool games, the crafts, the hayrides, and the nights when nobody wanted the fun to end.

We’ll remember the people who made this campground feel like a community.

And we’ll remember the simple things.

A warm summer evening.

The glow of a campsite at night.

A familiar song.

A child’s laughter.

One more hug goodbye.

One more promise to come back next year.

Because when you think about it, a camping season isn’t really measured in days or weekends.

It’s measured in moments that become memories.

Until Next Season, Sea Pirate Family
