Sea Pirate Campground is the ideal family vacation location; with so much to do on-site, and in the surrounding area, your family will be begging you to extend your stay! Located less than a 20-minute drive away is the beautiful and relaxing Long Beach Island. With many gorgeous shorelines, tiny towns, an amusement and water park, shopping, and more, it’s a must-do when you’re in the area.

From Barnegat Light to Holgate, the island spans 18 miles with so much in between! Are you looking for a quiet, relaxing beach day on what feels like a private beach? Head to the north end of the island. Towns like North Beach, Harvey Cedars, Loveladies, and Barnegat Light often are less populated. If you are searching for the hustle and bustle, people watching kind of beach day, then head to Surf City, Ship Bottom, Beach Haven, or anywhere in between!

If sitting on the shoreline isn’t your cup of tea, visit the quaint fishing town of Barnegat Light. At the Barnegat Light state park, you can walk nature trails, roam across the jetty, search for wildlife, climb Ol’ Barney, and watch ships go in and out of port. With a cute little shopping district, known as Viking Village, you can pick up some gear or a snack to satisfy any of your family’s cravings.

Looking for a bit more action? Head down to Beach Haven, also known as the queen city. Here you will find a multitude of restaurants, shops, bars, and activities! Take the family to mini-golf, surf some man-made waves at the water park, ride the Ferris wheel at the amusement park, play some skee ball at the arcade, and don’t forget to grab an ice cream cone in between! With access to the bayfront all through the town, be sure to find a seat for an amazing LBI sunset before heading back to camp.

Anywhere you go on LBI, there is something to see and do. From fishing off a pier to renting jet skis or a boat to just relaxing on the beach, listening to the seagulls and the waves crash as the kids run around, enjoying their family vacation.
